Project: The Academy of Information Technology and Engineering

Architect: Fuller & D’Angelo P.C. http://www.fullerdangelo.com/

The first school of its kind in Connecticut, The Academy of Information Technology and Engineering attracts students interested in all aspects of technology and the fundamentals of architecture and engineering. By using translucent components, and exposed structural and mechanical elements, Architects Fuller & D’Angelo have left the anatomy of the building visible, thus providing students with their first lesson in architecture and engineering.

To further define this theme in the Library, the Architect selected the BCI Opal Shelving System, which incorporates clearly defined structural elements, glass end panels and exposed fasteners.
