This Thursday we are going back to a project we did at the Darien High School Media Center in Darien, CT. In conjunction with the architecture firm Herbert S. Newman & Partners, P.C. http://www.hsnparch.com/, this project was a success.
The school is home to some 1300 students and is 325,000 square feet. Shelving was a integral piece to this project as the media center had a collection of over 40,000 volumes and AV materials. We chose a highly flexible shelving system with interchangeable shelving parts. Additional shelving was provided in the reading room as well as study carrels with task lighting for students.
