BCI’s Modern Library Furniture Heading to the Downtown Branch Library
The Ann Arbor District Library system consists of the Downtown library and four branches Pittsfield, West, Traverwood, and Malletts Creek. In 1957, Alden B. Dow of the Dow Chemical Family, designed the modern Downtown branch of the Ann Arbor District Library. At the time, the facility was built to accommodate the growing needs of the community patrons. A second expansion was finished in 1974 making it twice as big, and again in 1991. The Downtown branch is home to nearly 350,000 pieces of information which includes books, magazines, audio books, Blu-Rays, DVD’s and Book Club to Go Kits and Stories to Go Kits. BCI Modern Library Furniture was chosen for a recent upgrade by providing the INFORM Desk System.
