Bookline is a minimalist shelf-lighting armature which is integrated into the book shelf. The armature is fitted onto the front edge of the shelf and is part of the load-bearing construction of the shelf.
Bookline emits a controlled and glare-free light that is directed at the content on the individual shelf. This creates the effect that the book spines are emitting light, as they glow without the viewer being able to tell where the light is coming from.
Bookline is wired throughout, and is therefore well suited for building up rows of shelves where there is only one power supply line to the first armature in the row. The wires of the armature run unseen under the shelves and are led through wire ducts along the column of the book shelf to the floor.
